HomeCheck & HouseList Terms & Conditions


The information and services included in or available through the service may include inaccuracies or typographical errors. Changes are periodically added to the information herein. HomeCheck and HouseList and/or their respective suppliers may make improvements and/or changes in the service at any time. HomeCheck and HouseList do not represent or warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the service or the server that makes it available, are free of viruses or other harmful components. HomeCheck and HouseList do not warrant or represent that the use or the results of the use of the service or the materials made available as part of the service will be correct, accurate, timely, or otherwise reliable. You specifically agree that HomeCheck and HouseList shall not be responsible for unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data, any material or data sent or received or not sent or received, or any transactions entered into through the service. You specifically agree that HomeCheck and HouseList are not responsible or liable for any threatening, defamatory, obscene, offensive or illegal content or conduct of any other party or any infringement of another's rights, including intellectual property rights. You specifically agree that HomeCheck and HouseList are not responsible for any content sent using and/or included in the service by any third party.


Listings of homes, places for rent, realtors, estate sales and home inspectors are free. When posted via the online form, the activation is immediate. Listings are submitted as they are entered. Therefore, any misspellings or mistakes will not be corrected by the HomeCheck & HouseList staff. Users are allowed access through a Username and Password to edit their own listings. Any listings submitted via e-mail will take up to fourteen (14) days to be posted online. Users who submit via e-mail will be assigned, either at their request or as a default, a Username and Password so they may edit their own information.

Web page creation may be purchased for a nominal fee. Web page creation will take from fourteen (14) to twenty-one (21) business days. Upon receipt of information, the HomeCheck & HouseList staff will begin the creation of the web page. An e-mail notification will alert the client when they may review their web page. If the web page is not reviewed within fourteen (14) days after receipt of payment, it will be posted live as is. No web pages will be posted until payment has been received.


A thirty (30) day return policy will be implemented for all paid services. If a client is not satisfied with the service, for whatever reason, a refund will be issued in the form of payment. For example, if a client paid by check, the refund will be issued in the form of a check. The client has thirty (30) days from the time they were billed to request a refund. Once thirty (30) days have passed, there will be no refunds issued. The refund policy will be submitted to each client in the form of an e-mailed confirmation letter or a mailed welcome letter, or posted on the HomeCheck & HouseList websites.

enlighten technologies, inc.™ owns and operates HomeCheck & HouseList. enlighten™ will handle all billing, invoicing, refunding, and collections. If a client cancels an order and it has been approved for a refund by the President or Vice President of enlighten™, there will be a ninety (90) day period in which enlighten™ has to make the payment available to the client.
