Homecheck Reports offers Home Inspectors a way to expedite their reports
so clients may be emailed results within minutes after an inspection.
When a realtor and their clients want to finish their deals, the last
thing they want to do is wait on a home inspection! That is why
Homecheck Reports was created. We want to help the Home Inspector
offer accurate and detailed inspection reports quickly in a competitive
field.
This new program now offered by Homecheck.com is convenient, easy to use and
offers detailed, in-depth reports for clients. We have reviewed
Home Inspectors' needs and worked to develop a program to help
inspectors complete their jobs quickly and efficiently. We know
Home Inspectors need a mobile office at an inexpensive rate. This month, we want
to take a moment to introduce this great new program!
HOW IT WORKS:
-
Inspector may use a laptop or tablet PC
with internet connection at the inspection site to create their
reports.
-
After logging in, the inspector can
either edit an existing report or create a new one. Past
reports are listed by name but may also be searched using month
and year if necessary.
-
Once in the report, the inspector may
choose from different tab headings which include a long list of
items to be inspected and comment areas. This picture
shows the tab headings:

-
There are both scroll boxes and drop
down selection boxes (for commonly seen items) that allow for
quick and easy input of all observations. Text boxes also allow
narrative reporting with 'rich text editing' so users may adjust font
type, size, color, etc. This also allows the inclusion of
hyperlinks, tables and many other features you would get from a
word program. In addition to all this, the user may also
import text information with desired formatting directly from a
word document. Inspection companies can cut and paste
helpful charts or tables for clients within a couple clicks.
Inspectors have more possibilities to provide rich content for
their clients. Here is an example of the database
interface from the 'Basement & Fireplaces' section:

*The scroll boxes only show two choices in this
snapshot. However, the user may scroll through many more
choices when logged into the program.
-
Pictures may be added to the report.
An inspector may add pictures of the home to the report headings
or sub headings. Inspectors have the option to be more
specific and add pictures to each bulleted section of the
report. For example, a picture can be added with the
comments about the crawl space to help clarify any concerns or
observations.
-
After each section is submitted, the
information is uploaded via the Internet into the secure
database. This allows for immediate reports. Once
the inspection is done, the inspector may choose to save, print
or email the report directly to the client. Here is an
example of the report a client would receive:
Report Sample 1.
-
An inspection ledger on reports allows
clients quick reference for problem areas using a quick color
guide:

-
Quick turn around time on reports give
inspectors the chance to take their clients through flagged
areas on the report. However, the reports are also easy to
read giving the realtor and clients easy reference points in
case they were not able to be present at the actual inspection.
In easily understanding the report, clients can feel confident
they have the information they need to continue their purchase
with sound information.
