Our policy on our wholly controlled and operated Internet sites is to respect and protect the privacy of our users. HomeCheck and HouseList offer directory listings that include business name, address, and other information provided by those listed. These directory listings are open to the professional community as well as the general public and are intended as resources for services offered. Both HomeCheck and HouseList websites forbid the use of these directory listings for solicitation or contact for reasons other than the services offered by our members; however, we cannot control the uses by unknown third parties. This policy statement informs the user as to how we collect information and how we use it.
USE & COLLECTION OF INFORMATION:
HomeCheck and HouseList do not share information about users with advertisers or major product affiliates. Client data is used to customize HomeCheck and HouseList content and advertising for our users. Data about users is collected by client comments and directory listing demographics (demographics referring to state, profession, services, etc.).
There are instances when HomeCheck and HouseList may request personal information, such as name, address, and profession; this information is gathered when registering as a member or when requesting a particular service. For users seeking a listing, we need this information to post your services for the professional community and the general public. Listings may also be published in printed form for brochures and various publications that promote HomeCheck and HouseList resources.

E-mail addresses may be used to send out monthly newsletters and share general information concerning additions and changes to HomeCheck and HouseList, strategic partner alliances, and affiliate sites.
